CrI₃ and CrSBr

🌱 Seedling — sparse and possibly wrong.

Two 2D magnets that test the exchange-tensor → LSWT pipeline. CrI₃ is a 2D Ising-like ferromagnet whose finite-$T_c$ order exists precisely because anisotropy gaps the magnons and evades Mermin–Wagner. CrSBr is a strongly anisotropic A-type antiferromagnet (FM layers, AFM stacking) and a useful documented DFT-failure case — the kind of system where semilocal functionals and a naive $U$ get the exchange and anisotropy quantitatively wrong, which is the point of pushing to hybrid+SOC tensors.
