🌱 Seedling — sparse and possibly wrong.
A van der Waals stack of 1T-SnSe₂ (octahedral) on 2H-WSe₂ (trigonal prismatic): a lattice-mismatched pair with a type-II band alignment, of interest for interlayer excitons and the moiré superlattice that the mismatch builds. My work here is the finite-displacement phonon campaign (CRYSTAL23 + phonopy on the MSU HPCC), with the attendant supercell/memory and ASR bookkeeping.
It’s also the home of a methods lesson worth keeping: the spurious imaginary out-of-plane W mode that turned out to be a basis-set artifact of a minimal W basis, not a real instability — see imaginary modes.
